You are Christ’s (2 Corinthians 2:14-16; 3:2-3)

You are Christ's (2 Corinthians 2:14-16; 3:2-3)

The Sermon: 2 Corinthians 2:14-16; 3:2-3
But thanks be to God, Who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; To the other, the fragrance of life…. You yourselves are also our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

The Scripture Reading: Luke 10: 1-2, 16-20
The sending out of the seventy disciples to proclaim Jesus’ Word & Gospel is a reminder of the great Gospel calling given to believers of all generations. As then, so also now – the results of our Gospel efforts may vary. Yet our mission joy is not found in impressive outward results or in the gifts God gives to transmit the Gospel, but rather in the fact that the Lord is adding names to the Book of life and heaven.
