Hymn 35: “Songs of Praise, The Angels Sang”

Invocation and Responsive Easter Prayer

Scripture Reading – Isaiah 55:1-9

While recognizing that the Lord’s thoughts and ways are not always ours, but higher and greater, it is also important to ever remember that they are always thoughts and ways of love. Beginning with the Gospel invitation and continuing with the power and promises of His Word and the unfolding of our Christian lives right to the end, they all reflect the everlasting covenant of peace with His people. In that we by faith can live and rest secure.

“ Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has given to Him and it shall be repaid to Him? For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to Whom be glory forever. Amen.”
