The Invocation And Confession Of Sins
Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; We have not loved our neighbor as
ourselves. We have often neglected opportunities to witness for you with our mouths, our lifestyles and our support of Your kingdom work. Indeed, we justly deserve Your anger and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, strengthen us, renew us, and lead us so that we may delight in Your Will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your Name.

The Absolution (Spoken By Pastor)
Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for us and for His sake forgives us all our sins. Therefore, according to our Lord’s command, as a called servant of the Lord, I announce the grace of God to all of you and in our Lord’s stead forgive you all your sins in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

The Scripture Reading: Romans 10: 10 – 18
There is only one way for sinful man to be rescued – and that is to hear and believe the saving Gospel of forgiveness and life in Christ. And it is only from the Word and the voices of those who believe and proclaim that Gospel that the Gospel will be heard.

The Invocation And Confessional Prayer
C: Since we are gathered together to hear God’s Word and to call upon Him in prayer and praise, let us first consider our own unworthiness and confess before God and one another that we have sinned in thought, word and deed. We cannot free ourselves from our sinful condition. Together as His people let us take refuge in the infinite mercy of God, our heavenly Father, seeking His grace for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Together we join the redeemed of all ages in praying: “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.”

P: Almighty God, merciful Father, in Holy Baptism You declared us to be Your children and gathered us into Your one, holy Church, in which You daily and richly forgive us our sins and grant us new life through Your Spirit. Be in our midst, enliven our faith, and graciously receive our prayer and praise; All this through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The holy Christian church, the communion of saints; The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.

The Scripture: Romans 10: 10 – 18
There is only one way for sinful man to be rescued from his plight – and that is to hear and believe the saving Gospel of forgiveness and life in Christ. And it is only through the Word and from the voices of those who believe and proclaim that blessed message that the Gospel will be heard.

Our Responsive Mission Prayer

Our Prayer And The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
