Song: “Christ Has Arisen, Alleluia!”
Recitation: “That Easter Morn At Break Of Day”
(10:30) Choir: “Risen As He Said”
He is risen, as He said, Christ has risen from the dead. Alleluia, Alleluia, He’s alive forevermore. His most precious life He gave, Now He’s risen from the grave – Alleluia! Alleluia! He’s alive forevermore.
On the cross He paid the price, Gave His life a sacrifice, Once for sinners He would die, Now He lives and reigns on high – Alleluia! Alleluia! He’s alive! He is risen, as He said, Christ has risen from the dead, Alleluia! Alleluia!
(Repeat V 1)
Hymn 200 (V 1-2, 7-8) – “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”
The Invocation And Easter Prayer
Risen Lord – You kept the Law perfectly; You fulfilled Your saving mission to our world; But You broke everything else! The stranglehold of death – broken! The victory of the grave – shattered! The curse of sin’s wage – toppled and crumbling! Now Lord Christ, Blaster of Death, break into that last fortified stronghold of our hearts and there proclaim the good, great news of life eternal in You. Daily we see death around us,often touching our lives in many ways. We feel its pain, its devastating loss. Give us Easter eyes of faith to see You – yes on the cross, but also risen & living, alive forevermore. Your true and mighty Word assures us that no believer shall truly die, but live on in joy and glory in the land of the resurrection. Shatter and remove our fears and doubts. Through Your Easter victory and promises fill our hearts with faith-confidence, joy and hope. Help us join the Apostle in his death and grave-defying victory cry: “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”.
