OUR MISSION:
“Training Hearts and Minds”

We strive to assist parents with the Christian education of their children. God’s Word is applied in every class and activity throughout the day. Our goal is that the children in our care grow in their knowledge of their Savior Jesus Christ, and be equipped for useful, God-pleasing lives. Students are instructed in the truths of God’s Word through daily devotions, prayers, and Bible study. All subjects are taught from a Christian perspective and worldview.

God’s Command: “Bring up your children in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4

How are we to do this? “Teach them (God’s words) diligently to your children.” Deuteronomy 4:7

Why are we to do this? “That they may place their hope in God.” Psalm 78:7

Academics

Our curriculum not only adheres to state guidelines in establishing academic requirements, but is centered on and presents all subject matter in the light of God’s Word. The curriculum offering for grades K-8 are as follows: Religion (Bible History and Catechism), Reading, Mathematics, Language Arts (spelling, grammar, writing skills, and penmanship), Social Studies, Science, Music, Art, and Physical Education.

About our School

Berea Lutheran School is located in Inver Grove Heights, MN, about 16 miles south of St. Paul. We are operated by Berea Lutheran Church, a member of the Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC), and have been in existence since 1978. Our enrollment has averaged between 25 to 35 students over the last ten years in grades K-8. Berea has operated a Preschool since 2013, with enrollment ranging between 3 to 12 students.

School Information for the 2026-27 School Year

The following forms can be downloaded and filled out electronically or printed and written by hand. No matter which way you choose, they will all need to be printed out and signed by the parent/guardian. After signing, you may scan them electronically and e-mail to the administrator, Heidi Ludvigson, or bring the printed versions to the parent meeting on August 20th at 6:30pm.
