Matthew 28: 18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Our Confessional Prayer:
O Lord, how many are our sins: Though You Yourself have given us Your Word, we have sometimes treated it with disdain. Though You Yourself have put Your children in our care, we have not always brought them to you as we should. Though You have commanded us to keep Your commandments, we have instead often followed the desires of our own hearts. Though You have given us the treasure of Your Word, we have longed instead for the treasures of this world. We are rightly judged for our sins and deserve Your wrath. Our sins are too great for us. They have gone over our heads and would drown us but You are the God of our Salvation. You came down to raise us up. You died to give us life. Forgive us, O God, O God of our Salvation!
God has heard your confession. He has given me, Your called servant, the authority to tell you that your sins are removed as far as the east is the west. You are God’s own child. Your Father has put away your sin. Because of the perfect life and innocent death of your Savior Jesus Christ, you have been washed, you have been sanctified, you have been justified in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God!
The Responsive Reading of Psalm 78
P: Give ear, O my people, to My teaching:
C: Incline your ears to the words of My mouth!
P: I will open My mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old,
C: Things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us.
P: We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord.
C: And His might and the wonders that He has done.
P: He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel,
C: Which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children,
P: That the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn
C: And arise and tell them to their children,
P: So that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God,
C: But keep His commandments.
P: And that they should not be like their father, a stubborn and rebellious generation,
C: A generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God.

Christian Education seeks to build a spiritual life foundation on Christ and His Word that will not be shaken or destroyed by the storms of life and will endure forever.
The Apostles Creed (Page 12 in Hymnal)
I believe in God the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, Who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
