The Invocation And Confession Of Sins

(A “Psalm” Confessions)

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; According to Your great compassion blot our my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my trans-gressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are proved right when You speak & justified when You judge. Surely I have been a sinner from birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let the bones You have crushed rejoice; Let me hear joy and gladness.

The Scripture Reading – Ephesians 1: 3 – 14

Everything God in love has done for us in Christ Jesus – from our eternal election of grace, to His effecting our salvation through the redemption of Christ, to the Spirit’s effecting and securing the gift of faith in us, to our guaranteed heavenly inheritance – all is a marvelous tribute to His Grace and Gospel in Christ Jesus. To Him alone be all praise and glory!

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The holy Christian church, the communion of saints; The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.

The Offering Of Our Gifts Of Faith And Love

Our Prayer And The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Our Lord’s Benediction

The Closing Hymn – “Heavenly Hosts In Ceaseless Worship” (Melody: Hymn 471)

Heav’nly hosts in ceaseless worship  “Holy, holy, holy” cry;
“He Who is, Who was and will be,  God Almighty, Lord Most High.”
Praise and honor, pow’r and glory,  Be to Him Who reigns alone!
We, with all His hands have fashioned,  Fall before the Father’s throne.
All creation, all redemption,  Join to sing the Savior’s worth;
Lamb of God,Whose blood has bought us,Kings & priests,to reign on earth,
Wealth and wisdom, pow’r and glory, Honor, might, dominion, praise,
Now be His from all His creatures  And to everlasting days.
