The Invocation And Confession Of Sins (From The Psalms)

Have mercy upon me,O God, according to Your unfailing love; According to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight.Surely I have been sinful from birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Cleanse me with hyssop and I will be clean;Let the bones You have crushed rejoice. For Jesus’ sake, hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a clean heart , O God, and renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with Your free Spirit.

The Absolution (Announcement Of God’s Forgiveness)I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose Rider is called Faithful and True, and on His head are many crowns…. And on His robe He has the name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19: 11-12,16)
