OUR UNFAILING SUPPLY OF DIVINE STRENGTH

The Sermon ………………..……………………….…………… .  Isaiah 40 : 27 – 31

Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, “My way is hidden from  the Lord and my cause is disregarded by my God”? Do you not know? Have you  not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives  strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow  tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; They will  run and not grow weary; They will walk and not be faint.

MAY JESUS BE A PROPHET HONORED IN OUR MIDST

The Sermon ………………………………………………………… Mark 6: 1 – 6

Jesus left there and went to His hometown, accompanied by His disciples. When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were amazed.”Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given Him, that He even does miracles! Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son & the brother James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? And aren’t His sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor – except in his own country, among his own relatives and in his own house. And He did no miracles among them, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them. And He was amazed at their lack of faith.

The Sermon ……………………………………………….….. Mark 1: 14 – 20

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the Gospel of God. “The time has come,” He said, “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the Gospel.” As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed Him. When He had gone a little farther, He saw James and his brother John, sons of Zebedee, in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay, He called them and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Him.

THE LORD, YOUR GOD – HE IS GOD!

1. Only He Has Done Such Mighty Deeds

2. Only He Is Worthy Of Our Praise

The Sermon …………………………Deuteronomy 4: 32-34, 39-40

“Ask now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God created man on the earth; Ask from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything so great as this ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of? Has any other people heard the voice ofGod speak- ing out of fire, as you have, and lived? Has any God ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by miraculous signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and aswesome needs, like all the things the Lord your God did for you in Egpyt before your very eyes? Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth below. There is no other. Keep His decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you.”

The Sermon ……………………………………………………. Luke 2 : 21 – 24

On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, He was named Jesus, the Name the angel had given Him before He had been conceived. When the time of their purification according to the Law of Moses had been completed, Joseph and Mary took Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”) and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord, “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”
