The Scripture Reading – Ephesians 6: 10 – 17

The enemy is powerful, cunning and destructive; His arsenal of weaponry are far beyond that of mere mortals; His heart is utterly evil and his devotion to his cause is complete and relentless. What chance do we have against the “Evil One”? Of ourselves, none. Yet by faith we have a Savior-God before Whom Satan and his hordes must cringe, a mighty Warrior Who has utterly ravaged the enemy on every front on every occasion, One Who has given to us His weaponry and power in the Word, One Who will not fail us.  Look to Him in faith; Trust His power and promises; Put on the armor of His Word –and victory will be yours; You will be safe in His arms.

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The holy Christian church, the communion of saints; The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.

Our Petitions Before God’s Throne

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Our Lord’s Parting Blessing

Into temptation lead us not. When evil foes against  us plot
And vex our souls on every hand,
Oh, give us strength that we may stand
Firm in the faith, a well-armed host,
Through comfort of the Holy Ghost!
